UL Crest

Some recent news

Juliette Haigh is re-seleceted for the New Zealand team.

Juliette Haigh came to UL towards the end of last year to help with her project to learn to scull at an international standard. She had previously been in the New Zealand pair for the Beijing Olympics. She has since turned back to the dark side and has been selected to compete in the World Cups in the pair. She hopes to be back over our way with a chance of teaming up with the New Zealand 2x to compete at Henley in the Princess Grace Challenge Cup.
Juliette made these comments on her time at UL and plans for the future "I really enjoyed my time at UL, the coaching was great and it's a really friendly environment to train in. After a year training and living in the UK I'm now back in New Zealand and have just gained re-selection onto the New Zealand rowing team in the women's pair. Over the next three years I will be working towards winning a gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012."
Juls left a big impression on the girls she trained and raced with. We all wish her the best of luck.
